How to make the perfect knitted crop top just in time for summer!

This pattern is for a women’s US size 2 crop top. You can modify it to better suit your size.

Materials: Impeccable™ Solid Yarn by Loops & Threads®, which is weighted as Medium (4). Size US 9 circular knitting needles, which are 5.5mm. Scissors. A stitch holder. A stitch marker (you can also use a piece of yarn knotted in a loop).

Begin by casting on 91 stitches. Join the stitches so you are knitting in the round. For 16 rows, repeat the pattern of knit one stitch, purl one stitch, for the entire row.

For 1 row, knit for the entire row. For 1 row, increase once every 3 stitches (there should be 30 increases). For 10 rows, knit for the entire row. For 8 rows, increase once each row, 5 stitches into the row. The rest of the stitches should be knit. For 4 rows, knit for the entire row.

Knit 56 stitches, then transfer the other 70 stitches to the stitch holder. Decrease the section of 56 stitches until there are 40 stitches left. To decrease, knit 2 stitches together, then cast off the 40 stitches.

Transfer 35 of the 70 stitches on hold back onto the needles. Decrease the section of 35 until there is one stitch remaining, and then tie it off. Repeat the same process with the other section.

Use 6 pieces of yarn to make a 3-strand braid for each of the straps. Attach each strap to the top of each triangle, and the corners of the back.

The finished product!
